What should I write about?

I've struggled with this blog-idea for years. I love the idea of writing every day. I also love to write. The idea of getting ideas down on paper/screen, physically writing on a piece of paper and typing out those nods of creativity, dreaming and planning is very appealing to me. Plus, I'm told... I'm not that terrible at writing.

But when it comes to this habit of making time, I haven't. As I wonder what to write, my mind goes blank. And to top off the sundae, my proclivity to perfectionism challenges me to think that if it's not going to be perfect- I'd better not start at all.
So, I don't write and not starting brings on disappointment in myself for not following through and sadness for missed opportunities, growth and learning. Plus, it begins to challenge this other side of my personality that aggressively pursues goals and isn't afraid to fail sometimes. Perhaps a doubt of, am I really as entrepreneurial as I think I am?
So, today I give myself permission to publish imperfect blog posts. Better done than perfect will be a new phrase that I hope to employ.
Write something...anything and solidify that habit. Quality will come with time and practice.
If you find that you struggle with the habit of writing as well, I found this article on journaling to be helpful. There are quite a few ideas on writing prompts and styles that I hope will be helpful.
Today is a beginning and the sunrise looks pretty awesome.
